When I started writing the Pico Plugin Framework I wanted something that would make using some features of the WordPress API easier to use and to help make Plugin building quicker. The first release was a bit buggy and not as polished as I would have liked but I do believe that sometimes it is simply better to get the code out of the door.
I have just released a new version (long overdue but there we are) which is now in the WordPress repository. The new version is less buggy and a bit more polished.
If you do not know what the Pico Plugin Framework is then let me give you a brief introduction. The PPF is a small (approximately 27K) file which you can include in your WordPress plugin which makes calling some parts of the WordPress API easier and consolidates storing and retrieving data.
For example the PPF attempts to make using the settings API a bit more friendly.
Over the next few weeks and months I will post some tutorials on using the PPF and also add some more features to the framework.
If you like the sound of the framework then I recommend downloading the framework and the starter pack and having a look.
