A few days ago I was looking for an open source framework for writing MVC applications in PHP. I couldn’t find one that quite suited my needs (I know there are plenty out there, it’s a made up story, please pay attention). I’d been looking for days and I was fed up to the teeth. I took a break and went for a coffee. As usual there were several people in the coffee room and one of them was my colleague, Tay.
“Hi what have you been working on?”
“Uhhhg…looking for an MVC framework, but I cannot find one that quite fits my needs”. I replied.
Tay looked at me a bit strangely “err….why not use the one we sell?”
I looked at Tay, he looked back at me.
“We sell an MVC framework?” I asked.
“yep, you’ll find it in the usual place. I always think it is best to use our own stuff, the plugins that we sell. That way we also find any bugs and the plugin get’s tested better.”
I looked at Tay “go to go” says I “I have an MVC framework to test”.
Do you use your own software? I would love to hear about your experiences so why not leave a comment.
